During a recent visit to Norwich Road Academy, Thetford, South West Norfolk MP Elizabeth Truss toured the new Caterpillars Children Centre, opened in May this year. The nursery can accommodate 26 pupils and currently has places available with doors opening at 8.45 am.
Elizabeth Truss MP commented on the announcement by BAE Systems that there will be a reduction of jobs at RAF Marham in 2019 when the Tornado Aircraft goes out of service. Currently RAF Marham is home to the Tornado but in 2018 the Joint Strike Fighter F35 will come into service at the base.

Rail passengers are being urged to contribute to the consultation on the proposed Kings Lynn to London rail timetable, due to be implemented in 2018. The consultation closes this week on Thursday 27th July 2017.
In a letter to Elizabeth Truss MP, the Defence Minister Harriett Baldwin this week confirmed that the F35 programme is on track and within budget. RAF Marham, based in Elizabeth’s South West Norfolk constituency, will be the UK base for the F35s.
South West Norfolk MP Elizabeth Truss this week raised concerns about the proposed new rail timetable for the Fen Line. The planned schedule will lengthen journey times by around ten minutes on the Kings Lynn to London route.
