Residents out in full force to discuss quarrying proposal

It was standing room only in Marham (12 Oct 2018) as local residents filled the village hall to discuss with South West Norfolk MP Elizabeth Truss the proposal for silica quarrying between Marham and Shouldham.

Parents affected by the closure of Morley House in Kings Lynn, a respite home for children with complex needs, met South West Norfolk MP Elizabeth Truss and representatives from Norfolk County Council this week to discuss ongoing concerns about respite care available in West Norfolk.

Downham Market Post Office scheduled to re-open in a few days.

Elizabeth Truss MP has today welcomed the news that the Downham Market Post Office is on schedule to re-open on Monday 24th September 2018. The Post office closed unexpectedly on 12 July with customers being diverted to neighbouring villages.
